Working out in the morning is hard.

Actually, it's really, really easy.

It's the physical act of waking up early, not hitting snooze, having all your crap ready-to-go, your post-workout snack/meal prepared (or buy a $9 smoothie, your life) part that's hard.

Feel me?

Alriiiiight it was actually a month or so ago that it happened.

I'm of the minority that thinks Gwyneth Paltrow is everything. EVERYTHING.

I know that the majority of the population doesn't share this opinion, and that's fine. But I read Goop. I buy her cookbooks. I want to wear everything she wears. I want to eat everything she eats (and I often do eat the $200 MoonJuice smoothie (hashtag sponsored product) and it's amazing and no wonder her skin is so damn perfect). I too want to be best friends with Beyonce.

So let's first address the metaphorical elephant in the room: I have a new site. Welcome.

---

June 29. That is the last time I "created content". Or, you know, blogged.

I won't stand on my metaphorical soapbox and tell you that, "well life has just been crazy busy and blah blah blah", because frankly, it hasn't been that I've been too busy to blog.

I just didn't want to.

TRANSPARENCY.

Recently, I got the chance to try out The Bay Club for a couple of weeks.

Not familiar or from The Bay Area/California?

The Bay Club is a fitness and lifestyle club - think classes, gym, basketball, pool, restaurants, spa - everything. They even have happy hour and wine-tasting events. (Emphasis: wine-tasting.)

First-timer. Newbie. Rookie. Amateur.

We've all been there. Fitness or otherwise.

You (probably reluctantly or at the peer-pressure of a friend/significant other/family member/co-worker) sign up for a class. Not knowing what to expect other than what you've seen posted all over social media or heard from said person who "forced" you into the class.

After a weekend spent in Big Sur - it's real tough to get back to reality.

(Not so tough to get back to my bed and shower, but tough nonetheless.)

Sidebar: I panicked and thought it would rain all weekend long so I bought the most legit Northface Boots, rain pants, a Marmot waterproof cap, and like 17 hand warmers. (Spoiler alert: it rained for 20 minutes and that was it. I kept all the goods.)

Girls Weekend in Santa Monica

It was approx. 85+ degrees all weekend in LA and I was completely in my element. Completely. By a pool/beach the entire time that I wasn’t eating or drinking or riding at SoulCycle. I LOVE SUMMER. (Or… late spring. Same same.)
